Small BOS systems can be skid mounted
Almost 100% burn-out is achieved in the primary combustion chamber
Every EnerWaste system has a simple PLC system that allows for
easy automatic control
EnerWaste systems are ruggedly built and very durable for years
of trouble free operation
Loose, baled, or bagged waste can all be handled by the BOS without
any pre-processing. The system will also accept a variety of bulky
items such as mattresses, discarded furniture, and vehicle tires

Batch Gasifier System (BOS) OverviewRecent advances in thermal technology have significantly improved the process of solid waste disposal. With modern thermal processes, many types of waste can be safely and efficiently handled, thus providing major benefits for both the waste producer and the environment. EnerWaste's Batch Gasifier System (the BOS) was designed as a low emission and low labor approach to small and medium-scale solid waste disposal. The BOS utilizes a gasification process which thermally converts waste products into a burnable gas. This two-stage process provides the lowest possible emissions and is the most environmentally sound method for waste disposal. The unique modular BOS allows for flexibility of design, easy installation, and ease of operation. With capacities from 1 to 100 tons per day of waste processing, the BOS is ideal for small municipalities and industries. By adding thermal recovery equipment, the hot effluent gas from the BOS can be used to produce steam and electricity up to about 2 Mega Watts at 100 tpd. The two-stage BOS process uses batch gasification. The untreated solid waste is initially loaded into a primary chamber where it is thermally reacted under pyrolytic conditions and transformed into burnable gasses and ash. Unlike typical oxidation methods, the BOS primary thermal reactions occur at relatively low temperatures under quiescent conditions. This minimizes the production of airborne 'fly ash' particulates and NOx. The gasification process ensures nearly 100% burn-out of the waste and that the by-product ash is sterile with minimal residual carbon. To complete the process, the gases from the primary chamber enter the secondary chamber where they are mixed with oxygen (taken from ambient air) and oxidized at high temperature to complete the process. The energy from hot gas effluent can then be recaptured to produce steam and electricity. The BOS process actively discourages many potential emissions problems such as particulates, NOx, and dioxins, however our systems can incorporate either dry or wet scrubbers and other emission abatement systems to neutralize acid gases and absorb other dangerous by-products such as mercury. The systems can be designed to meet any emission standard. Since the BOS requires no pre-treatment of waste and has few moving parts, it has many advantages over other advanced thermal treatment systems. It's durable modular design is easy to install and operate. Once the system is loaded it requires no operator attention and thus can save on labor costs. The system allows for flexibility in design and modules can be arranged or added to meet capacities from 1 to over 100 tons per day. |
