Batch Gasifier System
Plant Layout
The modular nature of the BOSTM means that the plant layout is flexible and can be configured to suit the area and dimensions of the proposed site. Our standard design for Primary Gasification Chambers (PGC's) can each hold a maximum of 15 metric tons of waste (based upon a typical bulk density of around 200 kg per cubic meter). Smaller chambers are utilized for units of less than 15 MTPD.

For larger projects, more than one primary chamber will be required. For example, a 30 MTPD system will have two primary gasification chambers, a 60 MTPD system will have four, and a 120 MTPD system will have eight. In each case, one secondary combustion chamber and one emissions control system will be required for up to four gasification chambers. Our standard process train is 60 MTPD. All equipment is designed on a modular basis and our preferred fabrication approach is to build all facilities and interconnections at the fab yard prior to shipping to site to reduce labor and shorten the installation schedule. EnerWaste will design your system so that it exactly suits your capacity requirements. A typical 3D layout for a 180 MTPD system with 12 primary chambers (grey cubes), three combustion chambers (grey cylinder), three heat recovery boilers (green) and three emissions control systems (grey behind boiler) is shown below. A single steam turbine train producing roughly 5 MW is not shown and services all three process trains. The building and infrastructure footprint is approximately one acre. The stack is dictated by local regulations and is typically 15 to 20 meters tall, but below the height of the building eave:
