For larger waste or biomass disposal needs, EnerWaste offers the continuous Mass Conversion System (MCSTM). The MCSTM systems are large vertical chambers with gasification and combustion/oxidation occurring in the same chamber. They are fed on a continuous basis and, as such require a relatively consistent feed or pre-treatment. Ash removal is done continuously as well with an innovative hearth design. Energy recovery can be accomplished in the same fashion as for our BOSTM . A typical chamber handles 200 to 300 MTPD of waste or biomass and larger capacities can be achieved with multiple chambers. They are pre-fabricated at our production facilities from proprietary refractory panels and assembled on-site. MCSTM systems can be designed with capacities of up to 400 tons per day of municipal solid waste or up to 1500 tons per day of industrial, biomass or bio-waste with the potential of recovering up to 50 MW of energy. These systems can be equipped with standard emissions control equipment to meet most standards.
The design of EnerWaste's MCSTM systems focuses on simplicity and practicality. Lack of sophistication and complexity make construction, operation, and training of personnel much easier. Capital and operating costs of EnerWaste's MCSTM systems are much lower per ton compared to other thermal treatment designs including the BOSTM (not taking into account pre-treatment costs).
