The Process
The key design feature of the EnerWaste MCSTM system is a unique V-shaped hearth located at the bottom of the vertical chamber. Solid waste is fed to one side of the incinerator near the top of the hearth. The waste material slowly moves down the inclined side-wall of the hearth while simultaneously being dried and gasified. Primary combustion air is introduced along the bottom of the hearth through a series of distribution ports. Secondary combustion air enters through numerous ports located just above the hearth and equally spaced around the perimeter of the combustion chamber so that the hot, oxidizing gases swirl as they rise up the chamber. The secondary air is injected under pressure at a high velocity so that it penetrates and thoroughly mixes with the hot, viscous gases inside the chamber, ensuring good mixing and complete combustion.
